The main element of my music is variety. While aiming to realize my essential expression, I also dare to try out things that are new to me. I make use of established tropes
such as melody, as well as contemporary composition techniques.
I enjoy exploring many different musical settings - I write for solo instruments, ensembles and orchestras, as well as for theatre and film, while also creating
electronic and experimental pieces.
Fabian Blum was born in 2000 in Siegburg near Bonn, Germany, but grew up near Berlin. He received composition lessons from Péter Kőszeghy from 2015 to 2019 at the Reinickendorf Music School. His compositions were performed several times at the Intersonanzen Festival for new music in Potsdam and in 2021 at the Transparent Sound New Music Festival in Budapest. More
